Enter The Baron’s Art School where a drawing class is just beginning. Make your drawing and then let the performance take you on a journey through a sequence of realities heightened by art, imagination and madness.  Using puppetry, live painting, UV, animation and cutting edge digital video mapping and projection techniques, we will invoke Christina the Astonishing (Patron Saint of the Insane) who brings enlightenment to everyone and takes us safely back to the artists studio.

The Baron’s Art School: WORKSHOP – 14th Sept 11-2.30pm
About the workshop:

This artists’ Masterclass explores the stunning techniques used in “The Baron’s Art School” which fuses performance, puppetry and digital technology. The Baron’s Art School is a collaboration between puppeteer Isobel Smith (Grist to the Mill) and artist performer The Baron Gilvan, aka Chris Gilvan-Cartwright with Alex May, Artist, software developer and Research Fellow. The project began with support from Little Angel Theatre’s Incubate program for professional puppeteers and has been performed at The Cabin, Brighton, Towner Museum of Art, Eastbourne and Jerwood Gallery, Hastings.

We’d love to see you there x
